We visited East Coulee, AB so we could tour the Atlas Coal Mine. There was a lot to see, more than we had time for in one afternoon. We toured some of the smaller buildings that showed some of the history of the mine, rode on a one hundred year old electric coal car train named Linda, and did a tour of the tipple which is the last wooden tipple in existence in Canada. Other tours offered include a tour of the mine tunnel and the "Unmentionables Tour" which tells about the seedier side of coal mining.
