The kids attended Challenger Sports' British Soccer Camp again this year. It was great fun and I enjoyed watching them develop their skills and confidence. My camera battery charger went AWOL so I was delayed in getting the photos up. I loved seeing all of these small people running around in their uniforms. It's not a common sight here as we don't have outdoor soccer leagues and the indoor soccer season is short and for older children. I highly recommend Challenger's camps. The staff are wonderful! Watching a new coach manage a group of 4-6 year olds with ease was a treat. I've seen many of the same kids in other sport groups in town and the difference in keeping the kids interest and focus was like night and day. Quite impressive! Without further blah, blah, blah...here are the kids! (They each picked out their own footwear by the way!)
Too little to participate officially but happy to run around the field.
Favourite pastime: stealing the field boundary markers and making a break for it!
Making friends wherever she goes. Always. :)
She loved the pinnies and asked if we could get some for playing soccer at home.
One of many dashes across the field.
Fun Friday - each child could bring a toy of their choosing.
Quite the cheerfully determined little player.
Probably the smallest on the field, but always in the thickest part of the action.
Last day high fives!
Being presented with a participation t-shirt and skills evaluation.
Modelling their new shirts with coach Tom.
Practicing new tricks.
Closer. (The blur in the middle is a drop of water is from being caught in the crossfire of a water fight.)
The shoes.
Drills.
One of several water fights on Fun Friday.
Well done!
One of the youngest in his group but better than the coach in a heading game.
I had no idea until the coach announced it. H was more concerned about scoring a goal.
Photo with the coach.
