Joining up with Ginny for Yarn Along. I'm just starting this cowl, and for that matter, Sanditon as well! I'm only a chapter into the book. Sanditon is one of Jane Austen's unfinished pieces. This edition is co-authored by Jane Austen and Juliette Shapiro, who picks up the story where Jane left off. The yarn is beautiful, chunky, English wool that I picked up while in Bath last month. I found it at a lovely yarn shop called wool. I found their shop one rainy afternoon, only a two minute walk away from our hotel on a charming little street. The shop is in the center of the photo with the black door with brown frame. And yes, they ship worldwide! :)
The lovely ladies at wool helped me select patterns, wool, and needles. I chose the Homely Cowl project from Sarah Hatton Knits 10 More, Simple Cosy Projects. I also picked up a booklet on children's hat patterns and some soft yarn to make into a hat for Judah sometime in the near future.
For those interested in reading the book, I've added a link to Amazon. I found my copy at the gift shop at Jane Austen's home in Chawton, and I'm sure there are many independent booksellers who would have this title available.
