Little Man's first foray into the activity chair. He looks very serious here. There are a lot of things to take in! (I have since discovered I can remove any or all of the toys to allow for more space.) Look at those cheeks! Can you see his ankle rolls?
A photo of us the evening I got home from England, about 10 day ago now. This photo is very real. I am absolutely exhausted, Dwayne has just come in from work, the kids are helter skelter, there are stacks of papers and books, and the toy deer has keeled over!
A promise FINALLY realized. I had promised the girls we would go to the track one day once they laid the spongy surface. That happened last fall. However, being pregnant does not go well with chasing children around the track. Two nights ago all of us girls put on our shoes and headed down the road. It's almost ridiculous to drive there. We could walk to the entrance in less than 10 minutes but I was leaving the baby at home with Dwayne so time was of the essence! Riley and Abby did about 500m, with Riley wanting to run longer. Emma did about 300m before she wanted to be carried. When I put her down to walk/run again she tripped and fell and so that was the end of our track outing. It was nearing bedtime and Emma wasn't going to be able to manage another lap, nor was I going to manage carrying her another lap. Riley and I have plans to go back together another day soon so we can run longer. I think I ran a total of about 30 steps the whole way around!
