Our latest addition to the family is due in a little under 5 weeks. I think I am almost ready. This time around we plan to stay in our community instead of going to the nearest city to us - an 8 hour drive away (1 hour flight). I am much more relaxed because of this. I do not relish being away from home for 1-3 weeks, especially being away from my other children for that time. I've been stocking up on baby essentials. There are some items that we've used for all of the kids so far - certain favourite sleepers, baby bed, etc and those will be put to use again. There were some other things that just didn't survive past 3 kids. I've collected some new receiving and swaddling blankets, a couple of new outfits, and some new cloth diapers. We loved using our FuzziBunz for the other 3 and so I stocked up on some of their new line for this little one. We're going to try out their One Size diapers in hemp this time around. It'll be our first experience with the One Sizers and also with the hemp. I'll let you know how it goes! I ordered mine through CozyBums.ca. I was so impressed with how quickly my order was processed and shipped. I had it in less than a week. That is almost unheard for where we live.
I've been busily sorting clothing, books, DVDs, and kitchen stuff, trying to simplify before the baby comes. I've been making stops at the library, second hand clothing store, donating old clothes for shop rags, and throwing a substantial pile of stuff away. I plan on listing some DVDs on eBay later this week as well. Might as well try to make a few dollars if I can! :) I'm also being pickier about what is coming into our house. Less is definitely more for us right now!
