Christmas in July - Dinner Menu

In our house we typically have the same menu from year to year with the odd variation here or there. For example, one year we had a goose instead of a turkey.




Here is an idea of what Christmas dinner at our house is like:
Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed potatoes
Carrots
Brussel sprouts
Corn
Yorkshire pudding
Assorted pickles, beets, cranberry sauce, etc
Bacon wrapped sausage

Pumpkin pie
Trifle
Marshmallow squares

Christmas in July - Favourite Christmas Music

In our family music has always played very largely into our Christmas celebrations. Each year we would beg our mom to let us listen to Christmas music starting in October or so. Usually we would end up waiting until December 1st, or the odd time the end of November if Mom was feeling particularly festive.

A few Christmases ago my family got me the "Merry Christmas Songbook" published by Reader's Digest. A whole huge book of piano/guitar/vocal music devoted just to Christmas songs. So much fun!

Last winter my favourite Christmas album was "Christmas Songs" by Diana Krall. Every time I would play this CD my then almost 2 year old would come up to me and ask if we could dance. It's great! :)

Christmas in July

Every July for about a week or so I get on a Christmas kick. I don't know why but it happens every year. I also know I'm not alone on this!
